GASKET MATERIALS
Laurel Rubber & Gasket provides a comprehensive and durable range of gasket materials designed to meet the high standards of various industries. Our extensive inventory features materials such as compressed non-asbestos, cork, graphite, PTFE, and various rubber compounds, ensuring they are suitable for a wide range of applications. These gasket materials are meticulously engineered for exceptional sealing performance, high resistance to extreme temperatures, pressures, and chemical exposure. Available in a variety of thicknesses and sizes, our products can be tailored to meet specific requirements. Dedicated to quality and reliability, Laurel Rubber & Gasket guarantees that each gasket material complies with industry standards, offering dependable solutions for both standard and custom gasket needs.
Compressed Gasket Sheet
Available with a wide variety of binder materials to best suit differing applications, our compressed gasket materials can be purchased as sheet or fabricated per your specifications.
Vegetable Fiber (Oil Paper)
Premium grade vegetable fiber sheet packing, efficiently saturated with a glue-glycerin impregnant rendered insoluble by means of a tanning agent to create a strong, flexible, all-proof packing.
Hi-Temp Compressed Gasket Sheet
Our high-temperature gasket materials excel in the harshest conditions- intense heat, high pressure, saturated steam and hot oils. The complex engineering process involves laboratory tests for fire safety. They maintain effective seal during pressure and temperature fluctuations. Superior torque retention lowers leakage rates and reduces maintenance time.
Expanded PTFE Sheet
Designed for severe chemical service, our gaskets feature color-coding for easy identification, superior sealability to minimize process and media loss, reduced creep and cold flow, and a patented thermal bonding process for any size gasket. This process enhances tensile properties and reduces creep relaxation, and the mixing creates a homogeneous material with consistent, superior physical properties, unlike low-cost skived PTFE sheets that vary across their surface.
PTFE Sheet
PTFE, or Teflon®, has a high melting point and remains effective at 500°F (260°C). It is used in gaskets, packing materials, electrical insulation, and mechanical applications like bearings and seals, particularly for anti-stick properties. PTFE offers excellent thermal and electrical insulation and has a low friction coefficient. While materials may adhere to it, they can be easily removed. Available in virgin or mechanical grade.
Graphite Sheet
Graphite Gasket Products are flat materials made of pure, exfoliated graphite. They perform well in extreme temperatures, high pressures, and aggressive chemicals, and are fire-safe. Graphite seals easily under moderate bolt load, retains torque, and maintains dimensional stability in high heat, ensuring a tight seal during pressure changes. Made without organic or inorganic binders, the product is pure graphite with excellent physical properties. Adding wire mesh, stainless steel foil, or tanged metal inserts enhances strength and handling.
Inorganic Fiber Sheet
Constructed with inorganic fibers with a nitrile binder. Reduced creep relaxation and improved torque retention provide optimal sealing. Most inorganic fiber gasket sheets are ABS Fire Safe Type approved.
